STORY

I am Shalina Micheal, creator of ALL IN THE DETAIL. ​Some would call me a workaholic and honestly, I’d probably have to agree. A work hard play hard ethos is certainly always my intention but when you do what you love, it’s tricky to pry yourself away from the details of work. It’s the details that make the difference between a “meh’ moment and a “wow” moment, right? Oh, and in case you were wondering, that’s how the company name was born – an appreciation for the ‘details’.  ​

 

When I’m not knee deep in checklists, I’m surrounding myself with friends, family, food, and good vibes. A ‘good time, good vibes’ mantra, a lot of coffee, a little G&T (or a lot depending on the day of the week and what we’re celebrating), a good belly laugh, a great playlist and a good thriller are just some of the simple pleasures that keep me sane. ​

 

Starting in the world of event publishing, travel was a big part of the ‘beginning’ working in some of the most glamorous (and not so glamorous) venues and exhibition centres in the UK & Europe. Driving the revenue forward and managing the top line, a hard graft that set a strong foundation for the challenging and rewarding years to come.  From exhibitions, conferences and luxury travel came the vigorous and vibrant world of outdoor music and food festivals. As Head of Corporate Hospitality & Events for WME | IMG, a global leader in live experiential events, muddy heels and strategic planning were a common combo in corporate client entertaining. Here, the strategy became a reality delivering client events and bespoke experiences for some of the worlds most recognised lifestyle brands and corporate companies on the FTSE 100.​

 

From mud to Mayfair a new chapter began - exclusive celebrity parties, luxury brand launches, corporate dining, media shindigs and a whole host of high-profile dinners were in abundance. ​​Fast forward almost two decades from where the journey began and it was time to kick off the stiletto heels (well, partially off) and create a different way of working, setting new goals and embracing new challenges. Now was the time to work towards something even more meaningful. With the extensive contacts, expertise and passion for events came the launch of ALL IN THE DETAIL– An event management company focused on delivering events that excite.
